Thank you for your interest in our apprenticeship program! We are accepting applicants starting July 1, 2022. Getting involved in the permanent makeup industry is exciting and overwhelming. Please do as much research as you can. While we would love to help you every step of the way, we receive numerous inquiries and hold limited spots open for candidates that are self leaders. How long does the program take? The state of Minnesota requires each apprentice to complete 200 hours of supervision. Most candidates will complete these hours within 3-4 months, although we remain flexible for those that need more time. These hours are generally not included in the permanent makeup course that many individuals take.
What is included in the apprenticeship program? Each student will be mentored on topics including but not limited to business practices (licensing, banking, website) and topics related to cosmetic tattooing (skin types, color theory, stroke pattern, pigments, sanitation, tools/equipment).
Do I need to do anything before starting the apprenticeship program? Candidates generally are in the process of or have completed a permanent makeup certification class before starting our apprenticeship program. Prior to working on clients, candidates must complete a MN approved Blood Borne Pathogen Course, and be insured.
